View scenes in Scene Viewer

You can view geospatial content in Scene Viewer in the portal website. You can also author scenes when you sign in to Scene Viewer and add layers or change layer properties, for example.

Scene Viewer has tools for exploring, analyzing, and navigating scenes such as measure, weather, and daylight tools.

Note:

Before you open Scene Viewer, verify that your browser supports scenes.

Present

Use Present Slides to switch to the presentation mode and click through slides and view information about the scene.

Navigate

Navigate scenes with Scene Viewer tools, or use your mouse or touch device to move around scenes.

Search

Use Search Search to search locations and features. You can also configure feature search in a scene.

Layers

Use Layers Layers to view layer visibility and the legend.

Basemap

Click Basemap Basemap to choose your basemap from the gallery including 3D basemaps, topography, imagery, and streets. Also you can set ground transparency for the scene.

Daylight

Click Daylight to change how sunlight and shadows affect your scene during different times of the day and year.

Weather

Click Weather to add weather visualizations to your scene such as rain, snow, and fog.

Measure

The Measure tools allow you to measure distances between two points and calculate areas in your scene.

Slice

Use the Slice tool Slice to slice scene content and reveal occluded content in a scene.

Elevation profile

The Elevation Profile tool Elevation Profile allows you to generate an elevation profile along a line.

Share

Click Share Share map to share the scene by email or social media, embed it in a website, or create a web app from the scene.

Settings

Use Settings Settings to adjust scene settings such as the balance of scene performance and quality, or mouse navigation.

Building explorer

When building scene layers are available, use the Building explorer tool Building explorer to explore building scene layers by viewing layers, isolating layers, and applying filters.
