You can install ArcGIS Enterprise on Kubernetes Web Adaptor to enable web-tier authentication with your organization. There are two installations:
- ArcGIS Enterprise on Kubernetes Web Adaptor (IIS)
- ArcGIS Enterprise on Kubernetes Web Adaptor (Java) for Windows or Linux
Before installing
Do the following before installing ArcGIS Enterprise on Kubernetes Web Adaptor:
- Review the installation behavior and requirements.
- Verify that the system meets all system requirements.
- Sign in as a user with administrative privileges.
- Close all applications.
- Browse to the downloaded folder containing ArcGIS Enterprise on Kubernetes Web Adaptor
- ArcGIS_Web_Adaptor_for_Microsoft_IIS_Kubernetes_<version>.exe (IIS)
- ArcGIS_Web_Adaptor_Java_Kubernetes_<version>.tar.gz (Java on Windows or Linux)
Install ArcGIS Enterprise on Kubernetes Web Adaptor (IIS) on Windows
Follow these steps to install ArcGIS Enterprise on Kubernetes Web Adaptor (IIS) on a Windows machine with IIS web server:
- Download the ArcGIS_Web_Adaptor_for_Microsoft_IIS_Kubernetes_<version>.exe file.
- If the ArcGIS Web Adaptor setup program does not start automatically after the download is complete, browse to the location of the downloaded setup files and double-click Setup.exe.
- Review the terms and conditions of the master agreement, and agree to the terms to proceed.
- Choose a website for ArcGIS Web Adaptor.
Available websites are listed as <website name (port)>. If the Select website dialog box does not appear, you only have one website. If this is the case, ArcGIS Web Adaptor is automatically placed on that website without displaying the Select website dialog box.
- Type the name of the Web Adaptor.
The default value is arcgis. This instance name cannot contain spaces.
Note:
A message appears if a virtual directory with the same name as the Web Adaptor exists on the selected website. Click OK to close the message, and provide a different name for the Web Adaptor.
- Follow the directions on the screen to complete the installation.
The ArcGIS Enterprise on Kubernetes Web Adaptor configuration page appears when the installation is complete. You need to configure the Web Adaptor for use with your ArcGIS Enterprise organization.
Install ArcGIS Enterprise on Kubernetes Web Adaptor (Java) on Windows or Linux
Follow these steps to install ArcGIS Enterprise on Kubernetes Web Adaptor (Java) on a Windows or Linux machine:
- Browse to the location of the downloaded ArcGIS_Web_Adaptor_Java_Kubernetes_<version>.tar.gz file.
- Extract the ArcGIS_Web_Adaptor_Java_Kubernetes_<version>.tar.gz file.
- Deploy the arcgis.war file to the Java application server.
Refer to the documentation for the Java application server for instructions on how to deploy the .war file.
The ArcGIS Enterprise on Kubernetes Web Adaptor configuration page appears when the installation is complete. You need to configure the Web Adaptor for use with your ArcGIS Enterprise organization.
