Monitor the health and stability of your organization by creating and reviewing health check reports in ArcGIS Enterprise Manager. Reports can be created by an administrator, scheduled by an administrator to run at a later time, or created by ArcGIS Enterprise whenever there is a major event in the organization such as an upgrade, update, or a removal of updates.
Available health check reports
Basic health check reports are the only report type available at ArcGIS Enterprise 11.4.
Basic health checks
Basic health check reports conduct a suite of functional and availability health checks to validate overall organization health.
This type of report runs the following tests:

Relational store health check | Captures health information of the relational store. |
Object store health check | Captures health information of the object store. |
Spatiotemporal and index store health check | Captures health information of the spatiotemporal and index stores. |
ArcGIS Enterprise portal endpoint is available | Checks that the ArcGIS Enterprise portal endpoint is available. |
ArcGIS Enterprise Manager endpoint is available | Checks that ArcGIS Enterprise Manager is accessible. |
Ingress health check | Captures health information of the ingress controller. |
System publishing tools health check | Captures health information of system publishing tools. |
Shared map services health check | Captures health information of shared map services. |
Spatial analysis service health check | Captures health information of spatial analysis services. |
Geometry service health check | Captures health information of geometry services. |
Can query logs | Checks that the organization can query log messages. |
Users, groups, and items indices are in sync | Checks that indices are in sync. |
If any of the tests produce a failure, review the logs to help troubleshoot and ensure that relevant pods are running.
Create and schedule reports
Administrators can create or schedule health check reports to check the health of their organization and to help diagnose issues. Administrators also have options to work with the reports, whether the report is generated by an administrator or by ArcGIS Enterprise in response to a major event.
Create a report
To create a health check report, do the following:
- Sign in to ArcGIS Enterprise Manager as an administrator.
- Click the Health button on the sidebar.
The health check page appears.
- Click Create report.
- Enter a name for the report.
- Click Create report.
The report is generated and added to the list of reports, where you can find and access it anytime.
- To review the health check report, expand the report details if needed and click the Basic health checks hyperlink.
A pop-up appears with the status of each test that was run.
Create a report schedule
Schedule a report to run automatically at a fixed time in the future, either once or on a recurring basis.
To schedule reports, complete the following steps:
- Sign in to ArcGIS Enterprise Manager as an administrator.
- Click the Health button on the sidebar.
The health check page appears.
- Click the Scheduled reports tab.
- Click Schedule report and provide the following information:
- Report name—The prefix that is used to name the report. The date and time the report is created is added to the name as a suffix. For example, if the name you enter is enterprise-report, the date and time the report is created is appended to it to form the report name of enterprise-report-2025-01-22-06-40-20.
- Beginning date and Time—The date and time the report is scheduled to run. The time should be in the format hh:mm AM/PM and be at least 10 minutes ahead of the current time.
- Make recurring—Schedule recurring reports.
- Repeat every—How often reports are created. Each report runs at the specified Beginning date and Time value.
- Hour—Create a report based on the specified hour. For example, create a report every hour.
- Day—Create a report based on the specified day. For example, create a report every day at 12:00 a.m.
- Week—Create a report based on the specified day of the week. For example, create a report at 1:00 a.m. on Saturday.
- End—When the schedule ends. You can make it an indefinite schedule that does not have an end date or count, a schedule that ends on a specific date, or a schedule that ends after a certain number of reports are created.
- Automatically delete reports—The report retention policy. This is enabled by default with a 14-day retention period. You can select the date the report will be deleted or the number of days, weeks, or months the report is retained, or disable the option and permanently retain the report. Selecting the date is not an option if your report is recurring.
- Click Schedule report.
The report schedule is created.
